Submission-Maintenance-Comments
Who Can Submit Where?
To submit a fiction, non-fiction even to post on this board you must be a registered member.
You must have membership in the area you intend to post fiction for. So someone that can't get into the Mature or the Adult sections, do to age, will NOT be allowed to have someone else post their Mature or Adult piece for them.
How do I submit
Follow these simple guidelines.
Step 1) Ensure that you are registered and are a member of the appropriate ratings section.
Step 2) Spell check your work then, see about having a Beta reader look it over. It pays off.
Step 3) Copy the Fiction Header and fill it out COMPLETELY. If you don’t post a Fiction Header your story will be removed without any notice. If you do not completely fill out the Fiction Header, you will get ONE warning then your piece will be removed.
Step 4) Open a thread in the appropriate Rating and Genre. Post your Fiction Header (also the Cast list if it’s a cast fiction.). That is ALL you are allowed to have in your first post. This helps keep the site looking clean and organized. *smiles* Post in English and in the DEFAULT posting color. Anything else is annoying to the readers eyes.
Step 5) Make a SECOND post and start of with either a prologue or chapter one etc… There is only ONE chapter per post allowed. Chapters may be broken into two piece or more if needed. Make sure you note this at the top of the post however, to avoid confusion later on.
Step 6) Update your fiction as often as you can. Readers get excited about a good story and HATE to wait. *chuckles* When your story is finished Type THE END at the very end of it, then notify a moderator so we can place it in the Completed Fiction section.
Step 7) PM Tempted Saint and let her know that you are posting a new story so she can add it ot the Current Fiction directory.
How many Fictions can I have open at one time?
Members with NO COMPLETED Fictions may have a maximum of three in-progress pieces.
Members with One COMPLETED Fiction, may have up to four in-progress pieces.
Members with Two or more Completed Fictions, may have up to five in-progress pieces .
Fictions you co-write count as one in this issue.
What do you mean Maintenance?
If you decide to place a fiction on hold or “give it up” then you are asked to contact a moderator to have you story removed.
You have six months from last UPDATE to post an update on an unfinished piece. If you fail to do so, your fiction will be placed in "Unfinished Fiction" archive that only the moderators have access to. There it will be held for an additional six months then deleted. We are NOT a storage bin.
Once a piece is Completed it will REMAIN in the original section however it will be moved to the Completed Fiction area of that section. Members will still be able to comment on it, unless the author chooses to have it locked.
If a member is BANNED from the site ALL their work will be immediately deleted, with NO prior notice.
Commenting on Fiction
Be courteous. If you want to tear someone up then find a different board. We are here to nurture and help each other grow within our creative outlet, not get brow beat. If you really thing you can give constructive criticism, then be a nice reader and send them a PM. Do NOT slam someone’s work in their Fiction thread.
If you read it, comment on it. But don’t waste the bandwidth to say, “Post more soon.” and that be it. Make sure you try and give them some feedback to work on. Many authors are scared their first few stories, so help them out, give them the props they earn.
If you know the spoiler. SHUT UP! *chuckles* Not everyone wants to know what happens BEFORE they read it.
Let your excitment shine through your posts.
