Come live with me, and be my love; And we will all the pleasures prove That valleys, groves, hills and fields, Woods or steepy mountain yields. (from 'The Passionate Shepherd to His Love', c. 1589) Okay, recently, I've been reading this romance novel and the author has taken Christopher Marlowe, the FIRST great Elizabethan Tragedy writer, and made him quite the sexy vampire that his character is suppoed to be i nthe book. And ever since, I've been getting more andmore deep into his work. I was a fan of his to begin with but this author has taken my familiarity and made into an outright fondness of the guy. *nods* So, recently, I've been reading his workings, especially his poetry. Below, are a few great links of quite a few "Vintage" Poets. *chuckles* Also, I would advise everyone to eat chocolate covered strawberries with a glass of Sherry, sweet, not dry. It would bea nice afternoon delight or an evening-night-in-delight. *chuckles*
